I really love some details of Sony phone’s UI so you can understand what i had in mind while making this new ROM. It took a lot of time to make sure all the things work nicely together but i’m really happy of this first release.

ATTENTION!:

You need SmartMINI Kernel A2 or superior.

NOTES:

  • First boot can take a bit more time than previous version
  • My advice is to disable keyboard’s vibration if it is enabled
  • Movies FCs sometimes while starting and stopping video in landscape. (BTW Standard Gallery Works as always)

Flashing procedure: (You need custom recovery, there is a post about it)

  • Download ROM
  • Put on Sdcard
  • Reboot in Recovery (Power ON while pressing Vol +)
  • Format System (Under Mounts and Storage menu in Recovery)
  • Factory Reset (In the main menu in Recovery)
  • Flash ROM (Chose ZIP to flash in Recovery)
  • Reboot and Enjoy

Procedura installazione MOD+ROM

(Questa guida non è opera mia ma di digitalboyz, quindi a lui vanno i ringraziamenti per aver provveduto alla scrittura in lingua italiana del procedimento di installazione di Custom ROM e non solo per il nostro piccolo telefono)

(Ovviamente può essere che questa guida non venga sempre aggiornata in concomitanza con i nuovi rilasci delle ROM, ma dato che il procedimento non varia può sempre essere utile come linee guida generali)

Preparazione e info.
Alla data odierna (22/07/2013) Legolas93 ha rilasciato la release A3 della propria rom.
L’installazione di una rom (pacchetto firmware completo) si effettua tramite un’utility che si chiama Recovery.
La Recovery, a sua volta, deve essere sostituita con una “modificata” di norma una CWM (clockword mod), in quanto quella originale è limitata e non permette l’istallazione delle rom da scheda sd e non permette di effettuare Nadroid Backup (ovvero un backup completo del sistema da ripristinare quando volete) sempre su scheda sd.
A scopo didattico vi invito, per fare un tutorial, a spegnere il telefono, aspettare 10 secondi, tenere premuto il tasto vol+ e contemporaneamente premere (e tenere premuti entrami) il tasto accezione, fino alla comparsa del logo Vodafone.
Il telefono si avvierà in recovery “stock” (originale) e potete vedere e capire come funziona e la sua interfaccia.
La navigazione all’interno della recovery avviene con i tasti + e – del volume, e il tasto power serve per dare conferma.
Ovviamente non prendete nessuna iniziativa a casaccio in recovery, visto che è presente l’opzione wipe data che di fatto formatta il dispositivo.

Fase1: Installazione della Recovery CMW (la MOD di legolas)
A scaricare questo pacchetto
B scompattarlo in una cartella del desktop
C Installare i seguenti driver (Xp/Vista/Seven 32/64bit): 1)MT6577 USB VCOM drivers (lanciare il file InstallDriver.exe) 2) MTK6589_PdaNET_ADB_VCOM_Drivers (lanciare il file PdaNetA4126.exe lasciando selezionato others e connettere il dispositivo quando lo chiede)
D riavviare il pc
E Tornare nella cartella del desktop (B) entrare nella sottocartella SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1304.0.119 ed eseguire in modalità amministratore (tasto dx esegui come admin su seven e vista) il file Flash_tool.exe. In alto a dx del programma caricate lo scatter-loading che troverete nella cartella del punto B. Comparirà una lista cliccate su BOOTIMG e date il percorso sempre del punto B il file si chiama Vodafone-875_130621__boot_patched. Ora cliccate su RECOVERY e date sempre il percorso del punto B il file si chiama Vodafone-875_130621__recovery_130709-170818.
F Telefono spento, non collegato al pc, togliete la batteria, la rimettete.
G Premere il tasto download sul programma SP Flash tool rispondere ok al messaggio di allerta, collegare e basta il telefono al pc con il cavo in dotazione, partirà in automatico la procedura di flash e finirà dopo qualche secondo con un ok dentro un’animazione circolare.
H Staccate il telefono, riavviate in recovery CWM (vedi preparazione e info)

Fase2: Installazione della ROM di legolas93
A scaricare questo pacchetto ed inserirlo con un lettore sd o tramite telefono collegato al pc in una cartella (magari chiamatela ROM ) all’interno della microsd.
B Riavviare il telefono in recovery CWM (vol+ + tasto power) (Vedi preparazioni e info)
C Navigare con i tasti vol± nel menù della recovery fino all’opzione wipe data/fatcory reset, confermare col tasto power. Ora entrare nel menu Mounts and Storage ed effettuare il “Format System”
NB questo operazione è irreversibile, fatto ciò avete piallato il telefono!
D
Tornare la menù principale della recovery, opzione install rom.zip from sd.
Indicare il percorso stabilito al punto A dare conferma col tasto power.
Inizierà la procedura di flash.
Pochi secondi dopo il telefono avrà terminato il flash, riavviate il telefono normalmente.
E godetevi la rom nuova modificata.
NB Il telefono risulterà vergine, quindi dovete ripartire daccapo con l’inserimento dei dati/account/ecc…
